Prompted often by our teachers and parents to volunteer in social programs, most of us were encouraged towards community experiences and social impact creation right through our growing years. In fact, these experiences must have ranged from helping out in the community or advocating for causes involving community problems such as poverty, lack of education, or environmental health. Interestingly, today social work or Corporate Social Responsibility, commonly known as CSR, is a function of a unique occupation that translates into a well-meaning, action-oriented and powerful profession delivering social value and improved financial returns.
This module helps understand how effective Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs achieve social goals of a nation.
